Types of Computers
There are basically four types of computers. They are:
The fastest and most expensive computers are super computers. They're large and have multiple CPU's so it can handle many instructions in parallel. A supercomputer is usually used for complex calculations such as weather forecasting, nuclear science, rocket launching. Examples are Param 8000,Param Yuva 2,Tianhe-2 etc.

Mainframe Computer:
They're designed to handle huge amount of data and information. Mainframe computers performs multiple instructions in parallel for multiple users. They have multiple processors hence it's fast and expensive. They're used by large organizations as in corporate, airports and colleges for bulk data processing. Some examples are IBMz,Univac etc.

Mini Computers:
Mini computers is a mini version of mainframe computer. It is smaller and cheaper. It is also less expensive compared to other computers. It is also much slower than the other computers. They're typically multi user system and have more memory and larger storage capacity than micro computers. They are used as web servers, database servers, gaming servers. Examples of mini computers are magnum,Vax etc
Micro Computers:
Micro Computers are typically single CPU,single user system used at home, office, school, shops. They're further categorized as personal computers, workstations, laptops, mobiles, embedded computers. Personal or desktop computers are more common usually used for gaming, browsing, learning and small business use. Workstations are like desktop computers but have more powerful CPU with higher memory and processing power. They are more expensive and usually used for designing, animation and complex calculations. Laptops are portable computers which integrate all components of a computer into a size of a notebook. The mobile phones and tablets also fall under this section.
